Patterns

Here you’ll find a selection of my patterns, ranging from collections to stand-alone designs. Each one is inspired by things I love, such as nature, architecture, abstract shapes and cultural influences. I create a mix of hand-drawn designs and more graphic, polished styles, so there’s a little something for everyone. Feel free to explore and see what resonates with you.

Sashiko -1-

This mural is part of a mini-series inspired by sashiko, reimagining traditional Japanese patterns with a contemporary design for a captivating visual experience.

Sashiko -2-

Also part of a mini-series inspired by sashiko, is this striped pattern. Inspired by sashiko’s traditional running stitch, typically created with white thread on indigo fabric.

Sashiko -3-

The final pattern in this mini-series, inspired by sashiko, features a commonly used round shape and comes in two colorways.

Wabi-Sabi -1-

This pattern is inspired by the fluid movement of ink and the Japanese wabi-sabi philosophy, celebrating the beauty of imperfection and impermanence.

Wabi-Sabi -2-

This pattern draws from the traditional Seigaiha, but is reimagined with a modern twist. The classic wave motif is simplified and stylized, with clean, bold lines and a more minimalistic approach. Over time, the design evolves into a highly geometric form, where the flowing waves are replaced by sharp, structured shapes, giving the pattern a sleek and contemporary look.

Wabi-Sabi -3-

This pattern, part of a Japanese-inspired series, features a series of small, delicate stripes that create a simple yet rhythmic design.

Midnight Garden

The Midnight Garden pattern and colorway were inspired by a moodboard and color palette that evoke a serene yet mysterious atmosphere. Made up of hand-painted elements, this design draws from deep, rich tones and contrasts to reflect the beauty of a garden at night, where shadows and colors come together in harmony. My interpretation captures the tranquility and intrigue of a midnight garden, blending dark hues with pops of soft, glowing accents.

“Keep it Funky” is a bold collection that brings energy and creativity to life with dynamic shapes and vibrant colors. Designed with packaging in mind, it transforms products into striking visual statements through eye-catching patterns and playful hues.

Suri

Explore a mini collection of patterns inspired by the Suri people, influenced by their intricate face and body paint, exotic headpieces, and symbolic scarring. Drawing from these cultural elements, the designs were digitally transformed into a modern collection of unique patterns. This work captures the bold, symbolic beauty of the Suri’s traditions, offering a contemporary interpretation of their rich cultural identity.

Rug -1-

The rug shown to the side, as well as the one below, are inspired by the textures, shapes, and colors found in landscapes and aerial views of the Earth. They translate the natural patterns and contrasts of the planet into thoughtful, visually striking designs for any space.
